Beyond Words…

Absolutely fantastic! After a long period of time when regional activities felt like a chore to me, this is by far one of the best i have ever attended. Like seriously.. I haven’t felt this happy for awhile. I really can’t even begin to describe how happy i was mingling around with the rest of the youth, stealing their food, talking at the top of my voice (AKA shouting) and eating at the same time. I had fun with the non-spicy gang as well.. hahaha.. make fun of hush puupy and spoilt seats.. Saw someone fell when a prank was played and food being gobbled up at nobody’s business.

This is family. This is a perfect picture of unity. You may not talk to everyone, but for once, i sense family in this activity.

That makes me happy.

Its neither the food nor the environment that makes the outing enjoyable… Its just a bonus

Ultimately, its the companionship that really matters…

Lord please convict me… because i know i should exercising my butt off…

But i really can’t find any motivation. Like zero!

And so today, i did my IPPT. Like a year ago, i did not train as well. Just that last year i seem to be more motivated than this year. Could be all the spirits of CNY/Valentines Day that had left me… Then again, this year i din even feel any of those. Bleah… whatever.   Bedok camp is really hard to get to when you stay at North Bridge Road. Anyways, after getting into the camp at like 7am, registering and stuff, it suddenly dawned on me that i am taking my IPPT today.

WHAT???!!!! MY IPPT today. If i fail, that’s it. Its Remedial Training for me… like forever and ever. I cannot fail my IPPT TODAY. Long story short… I somehow, somehow, SOMEHOW manage to pass IPPT this year round. WITH THE GRACE OF GOD. I did pray before i try to attempt IPPT.

After the IPPT, i felt a walking wounded. Staggering around the camp, looking for a cab to go home. i was this close to dying. hahahaha.. the first time wasn’t even close to this level of tiredness. I admit… I am old… hahahaha

I should start exercising.. Like soon. After my exams then..

Had a fun filled day with some of the funniest people watching Valentines Day. It was a pretty good show. Some sort of a ‘Love Actually’ show. I guess the only shocker in the show was when the two guys happened to be gay! like seriously? Why them? and why make it like its Valentine’s Gay Day…

These past few days, i heard statements that really made me woke up and start to think. To actually think I always thought i had it under control. God suddenly brings people into my life and start to mess things up! hahaha.. That is why we serve a God who wants us to expect the unexpected, to not rely on our own wisdom but by his strength and power.

I guess its back to the drawing board.

It also helps that i have so much free time on my hands. This year’s CNY has been very weird to say the least. I really don feel any CNY festive spirit or even Valentine’s Day spirit. Ok, maybe Valentine’s Day is a given that i wouldn’t feel much but CNY?! hm… On top of that, I am not going over to my dad’s side due to my aunt’s passing last year. So, yestesday marks the end of my house visitation. Wow! that’s fast. On top of that, i have not been joining any youth visitation which makes this CNY REALLY REALLY very weird and strangely lonely……

Till i sat down in front of my computer and starting penning the song. Ultimate feeling. Ok, it’s not a top notch effort! but seriously, this is the best an amateur has to offer! so IF you have any ideas on how to improve the song whether is it the chords or whether is it the lyrics, please let me know so that i can change and ENJOY MY OWN SONG! hahahahaha… appreciate it people.

I decided to be on semi hiatus for a period of time to concentrate on my reports Well, i would say that this might be one of my longest post ever. i think. I have so much so much to pen down. Emotions and all kinds of thoughts.

Firstly, a short update on myself. The Lord has been awesome in the things that He has been doing. Last two weeks was my reports submission week and also working at the airshow. Trying to squeeze some time to write my report and waking up early to drive the buggy is not the best thing you should ever attempt. Fortunately, thank God that the new colleagues and friends that i made over there are definitely worth the half burnt marks as well as the eye bags formed throughout the whole week.

Updates on airshow: well, it was fun. You just drive around in the most comfortable buggy and you pick up passengers from one end and drive them to the other. Its that simple. Enjoyable. Fun. Yes, most people envy us because of the job as well as the fun we have driving the buggy. Apparently, someone should keep emphasizing the fact that all of us are burnt! Like seriously… BURNT! AND ONLY ON THE LEFT SIDE OF OUR FACE! Batman should just get us to act in the next sequel as the villain 2 FACE. Ha. 4 days of driving investors/traders/exhibit-ers around was accompanied by the unforgiving sun and endless teasing (eg. Junhao always picking up this group of people or Ken always picking this certain group of people) Last 2 days was probably one of the more exciting part of the job where you get to pick up the ministers around. Well, almost picked up. haha.. The state police was so afraid that us Buggy DareDevil drivers would topple the whole buggy that they volunteered to drive the ministers around on their own. It could have been better if we could have taken pictures with the minister. especially the senior minister. I am quite a fan of him.

A message to my ‘x’ colleagues:

Hey guys, it has been a pleasure working with you guys. I had a lot of fun blood sweat and tears. Ok, maybe not the blood but at least it goes with the rest. i have been very blessed during this period of time coz there’s always food during break and i really get to know some awesome people who never fails to want to con me money out of playing mahjong. hahahaha… I wish you guys all the best and hope we can still keep in contact. Especially Andy!!! SOCCER!!! and Junhao Ken and Kyle…. Mahjong.. U can teach me but i wun play for money!!! ;p

Back to personal life.

God has been good so far. School semester has ended and I promised Sean and Benson that i will meet them up for dinner! I really have not been meeting them for a long period of time and i guess it’s time we meet up before the ladies graduate. Speaking of which, i am really excited as it is going to be my last term before i graduate. I can’t wait to finish up the studies and go into the working world. I need a bit of the cash. For now, i’ll just focus on the notes and assignments.

Has been 7 months since i m not serving in my ministry. I also wonder how come it went by so fast. Probably God knew how much heartaches i have to go through and decided to fast forward the time. It has been definitely a humbling experience so as to speak but also at the same time a very fruitful time for me. I learn how to really dig in deeper with God when troubles come and learn not to take for granted that someone will be there to hear me out but to always and to always rely on God in crunch time. In fact EVERYTIME.. I honestly cant remember the last time i ever walked that closely with God but i guess there’s always a first. tough times ahead but at the back of my mind, i always remember that with every action  comes with consequences and once you cross that line, be prepared to face the consequences. Similarly, recognize that God does not seek to condemn but to restore one’s relationship with him. That’s what I am doing. I realised how closely i have work with my leaders about issues in my life. I guess there will come a day where i will look back and tell myself: Wow, what a journey.

This song was something that i thought about even during this period of time. Really speaks into my life. When you are down, always remember that there is a God who still waits for you to call upon His name and ask for help. At my lowest point, He will always be there…
